Don Costello

Costello, Don, of Saint Charles, MO, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Patricia Costello; cherished son of the late Genevieve Mae Costello; devoted father of Matt (Melissa) Costello and Ben Costello (Stephanie Jaegers); loving grandfather of Vinny Costello and Dominic Costello; and dear brother of Mike (Kathy) Costello, Mitch (Linda) Costello, Vickey (Brian) Rude, Joann (Dennis) Nemec, and the late Frank "Tank" Costello, Jr. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Colleen Kelly Costello. Don is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous dear friends.

Don graduated high school from Saint Thomas Aquinas. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State, and then received his master’s degree from Lewis University. He proudly served in the National Guard during the 1970s. He worked as a teacher and football coach for over 30 years, and retired from St. Charles High School. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his tractor, and just being outdoors. Don had an affinity for collecting things of all sorts like trains, model trucks and tractors, Mardi Gras beads, and many other trinkets. He most of all he loved bringing people together, making memories and having fun. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
