Dennis C. Kassel

Dennis Christian Kassel, 65 years of age, passed away on January 28th, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane D. Kassel (Dye). They were married on July 7, 1979 and were set to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this coming July.

Born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Dennis was the son of Martin (Bud) Kassel and Helen Marie Kassel (Riehl). He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1971. Dennis worked over 40 years in the wholesale and retail women’s shoe industry.

Dennis was an active member of the First St. Charles United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golf, traveling, laughing with friends and family, watching Mizzou Football, and catching up on Power Mizzou. Although he loved these hobbies, he loved spending time with his wife and two daughters most. Dennis will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his faith in God, his neverending fearlessness, his love for his family and his ability to make any time spent with him a memorable experience.

Dennis is survived by his  wife, Dee Dee Kassel (Dye); daughters, Gretchen Kassel and Katie (Adam) Hoffman; and granddaughter, Allie Hoffman. He is also survived by his sisters Sharon (Joel) Huey of Scott City, Missouri, Sandy Pace of Scott City, Missouri, and Sheila (Lanny) Rathert of Wentzville, Missouri.
