Denis “Denny” B. Hoerstkamp, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 54 years to Bette Hoerstkamp; loving son of the late Hugo and Edna Hoerstkamp; devoted father of Melanie (Jim) Brasier and Jenifer (Scott) Ruppe; proud grandfather of Morgan Brasier, Zach Brasier, and Charles Ruppe; and dear brother of the late Wallace and Charlie Hoerstkamp. He is also survived by other family members and many dear friends.
Denny dedicated many years as an Operating Engineer in construction before retiring in 1998 and then spending another 10 years with maintaining the grounds at Links of Dardenne. He was a member of Local Operating Engineers 513 and Elks Lodge 2587 of O’Fallon. He enjoyed home and carpentry projects and fixing anything that was broken. He was a fan of NASCAR and St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed watching all activities of his grandchildren. Denny was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Denis’ honor to the American Heart Association.

Our deepest sympathy to Bette and family in the passing of a wonderful friend. Denny was a great friend of mine when we were young men in New Haven. We spent many hours together, especially when he worked at his brother Charlie’s Sinclair Service Station. He was also a groomsmen in our wedding. Although our lives did not cross paths very often in the following years, I will always remember his infectious laugh and outlook on life. May God comfort you in your sorrow in the loss of a truly nice guy.

All our Best to you
