Delores Lorine Wellhausen

Delores Lorine Wellhausen of Elsberry, MO, passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schafer; her second husband, John Wellhausen; her children, Margaret Hood, Robin Guerrant, and Michael Schafer; her parents, Leonard and Helen Guerrant; and her brothers, Donald, Paul, Jerry, Wade, and Bob Guerrant.

Delores is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Donnie) Kinsler and Keith (Shari) Schafer; her grandchildren, Timothy, Jennifer, Connie, Lisa, Cherie, Zachary, Jeramia, and Shelly; her great-grandchildren, Mathew, Jacob, Lauren, Bradley, Emily, Katie, Arjan, Lucy, Sophia, Ava, Jackson, Brady, and Julian; her siblings, Leonard “Pete” Guerrant, Kenny Guerrant, Mitzi Stedman, Dale Guerrant, and Rhal (Carol) Guerrant; and she was a beloved aunt, great aunt, cousin and very special friend to many.

Delores belonged to many organizations throughout her life – she was a member, and former Grand Matron, of the Order of the Amaranth, the Order of the Eastern Star, an active member of the Southern Baptist Church and current member of the Star Hope Baptist Church in Elsberry, Missouri. Known to many in her community as a longtime florist, Delores was a very special person in the lives of many people. She will always be remembered as having loved her family above everything else and she will be dearly missed.
