Debbie Brocksmith

Debra “Debbie” Brocksmith, nee: McGowan, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the age of 63. Beloved wife of the late Joe Brocksmith; cherished daughter of Patricia and the late Russell McGowan; devoted mother of Jennifer (Tim) Riggins, Matt Schmaltz, Nathan Schmaltz, Joe (Holly) Brocksmith, and Niki (Matt) Meyer; treasured grandmother of Kaylee and Tyler Brocksmith, and Isla Meyer; dear sister of Paul (Laurie) McGowan and Larry McGowan; and loving aunt of Kathleen McGowan; sister-in-law of Jim (Debby) Brocksmith, Jerry (Penny) Brocksmith, and John (Linda) Brocksmith.

Debra deeply loved her family, her most cherished possession. She loved being outside and always enjoyed camping with her brothers and children. In her free time, she liked to tend her garden of flowers. She had many talents including painting, singing, playing violin, and guitar. She also enjoyed bowling at Arnold Bowl. Debra was deeply loved, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
