Darlene Ann Martin

Darlene A. Martin of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the age of 72. Loving wife of David A. Martin; beloved daughter of the late Charles and Vivian Lowrey; devoted mother of Daniel (Leslee) Martin, Douglas Martin, and Dedra (Michael) Smith; cherished grandmother of Leo Martin, Aria Martin, Robbie Smith, and Zach Smith; dear sister of Karen Barbier, Linda (Dave) Sanford, Greg (Linda) Lowrey, and the late Janice Edminston.

Darlene worked for more than 40 years in photography with her husband as his business partner for Memories Unlimited.  She was a Christian of strong faith, and a member of First Baptist Church of Harvester for more than 35 years, where she truly enjoyed loving on babies in the nursery.  She loved gardening, sewing, baking, and cooking.  Her favorite color was yellow.  Her prized first car was a '65 Canary Yellow Impala.  Upon retirement, she traveled with her husband in their RV, and around the world.  In her spare time, she liked shopping, playing solitaire, putting together puzzles, and reading.  Darlene looked forward to decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas and the 4^th of July, which easily compared to a major department store.  She loved entertaining for her family and friends, and was known for her hospitality.  She was greatly loved, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
