Connie Lee Wagner

March 16, 1954 — May 10, 2021

Connie Lee Wagner was an elect lady survived by her husband, Russell Claude Wagner Jr, her daughter, Jenifer Lynn Nibbe, and her grandson, Hunter Owen Nibbe.  She passed on May 10, 2021 in Dothan, Alabama. She was loved by all who met her outgoing and infectious spirit, but especially by her friends and family.  She made friends with every person she met.  She was always on the lookout for people around her that needed help whether it was an encouraging word, a friend, a meal, or a place to stay.  Her interests included sewing and crafting, travel, movies, and most importantly spoiling her grandson.

Connie was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Auburn "Tiny" Allen Jr and Delores "Dee" Allen on March 16, 1954.  Her siblings included Auburn "Sonny" Allen, Ricky Allen, and Donald Allen.  Connie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Ritenour High School in 1972, where she met her husband of 48 years Russell "Skip" Claude Wagner Jr. After being married on May 5, 1973, they set off on a 20 year journey through Skip's career in the Air Force.

While traveling with Skip in the Air Force, Connie held many clerical positions with the Air Force and was an active volunteer for the Air Force as well.  She was even recognized for her volunteer service to the military by President George H.W. Bush via letter.  On June 30, 1991, Connie and Skip adopted their daughter Jenifer Lynn, completing their family.

After Skip's retirement from the Air Force, they moved back to their hometown of St. Louis, Missouri where Connie had multiple careers, her most treasured positions being those in which she cared for children.  Upon retirement, Connie and Skip elected to move to Dothan, Alabama to be closer to their daughter and grandson.  It is there that Connie completed her journey on this earth.

Connie will be dearly missed but always remembered fondly.
