Clyde Mazanek Hamilton

Clyde Mazanek Hamilton was born on October 18, 1934, in Centrailia, Illinois. He passed away in Wentzville, MO, on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 86. Loving husband of Carol Hamilton for 63 years; beloved son of the late Clyde Emery and Laura Josephine Hamilton; devoted father of Gina (Bob) Farrar, Clyde Brett (Teresa Harvey) Hamilton, Patti Nibert and Kevin (Joy) Hamilton; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Megan) Farrar, Laura Farrar, Amy Jeanette (Josh) Bellinger, Kyle (Yvonne) Hamilton, Kristopher Hamilton, Katie (Riley) Nickols, Amanda (Brandon) Brokaw, Tressa (Nick) Strothcamp, Danielle (Aaron) Shockley and, Kevin Alan (Casey) Hamilton, Jr.; great-grandfather of Zariyah, Zailyn, William, Colton, Benjamin, Samantha, Avery, Ezra, Arlo, Harper, Brooks, Behr, Burke, Lander, Blaine and Norah; dear brother of the late Laura Joan Sledge and brother-in-law of Lyle Sledge.

Clyde was a member of Vision Christian Church. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Clyde received training to serve in Germany as a radar instructor. He attended a vocational technical college in Carterville, Illinois where he received an Associate Degree in Technology. He worked for McDonnell Douglas for over 31 years as a Technical Data Specialist. After retirement, Clyde and Carol spent over 15 wonderful winters in Florida.

Clyde was very handy and enjoyed woodworking and building small pieces of furniture. He and his wife Carol spent many years in a cooperative shop in the Frenchtown section of St. Charles, MO selling antique pieces of furniture he restored. He enjoyed watching football and playing cards. Clyde was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Memorials may be made in Clyde's name to Nurses and Company Home Care and Hospice.
