Claude G. “Jake” Jacobs
March 25, 1934 — March 10, 2018
Claude G. “Jake” Jacobs of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Saturday March 10, 2018, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 59 years to Gerry A. Jacobs; cherished son of Claude G., Sr. and Hulda Jacobs; devoted father of Tom (Eileen) Jacobs and the late Jennifer Jacobs-Carlson; loving grandfather of Nicholas Jacobs, Patrick (Jamie Kloss) Jacobs, Christopher Jacobs, and Katherine Carlson; treasured brother-in-law of Rita (Paul) Hopkins and dear friend and cousin to Dennis Dalton. He was preceded in death by his step-brother James Harrison Jacobs. He was a loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Jake was a talented saxophone player and played in the St. Charles City Band for 50 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club and was active in the Jaycees. Jake enjoyed baseball, fishing, gambling, and horseracing. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
In memory of Jake, memorial contributions may be made to the SLUA-Bowman Fund.
