Clara Marie Brown, (nee: Duffy) of Chesterfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Donald Brown; cherished daughter of the late Kenneth and Clara Duffy; devoted mother of Kenneth (Peggy) Brown, and Kathleen Davis; loving grandmother of Bryan (Felisha) Davis, Julie (Bennett) Reinkemeyer, Brent (Julie) Davis, Daniel (Ann) Brown, Gregory Davis, Justin (Valerie) Freistein, and Andrew (Nancy) Freistein; treasured great-grandmother of Grady, Willow, Bridgette, Nolan, Micah, Sienna, Jeran, Parker, and Josie: dear sister of Dorothy Lane, and sister-in-law of Donna Duffy Simpson.

Clara is also preceded in death by her brother, David Duffy.

Clara was a very dedicated pediatric registered nurse at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis. She was first and foremost a very loving and caring mother. She was her children’s number one supporter and was very involved in their lives. Clara was a wonderful cook who always had a meal on the table for her family. She was a talented painter and would often teach her skills to others. Clara served as a girl scout leader, brownie leader, den mother and a PTA parent. Most of all, Clara loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Clara 's name to the American Cancer Society.

    Clara had so many talents… I was amazed when I’d comment on a beautiful wreath or a small portrait and she said she had created this masterpiece… she was a sweet and cheerful lady. I know you all carry her talents and sweet nature.
