Christine “Chris” Hughes (nee: Lane), of St. Charles, MO, passed on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the age of 92. Beloved daughter of the late Harry Russell and Ethel Ann Lane; devoted mother of Samuel "Sam" J. Hughes and Tom R. (Carolyn) Hughes; cherished grandmother of Julie Hughes, Jason (Katie) Hughes, Courtney Hughes, Gabriella Tah; treasured great-grandmother of Chase, Travis, and Aiden; dearest great-great grandmother of Isaiah; she is preceded in death by her brother, William L. Lane.
Chris will be remembered as a kind and caring spirit. She was always there for those in need. Chris was an avid reader and was and amazing hugger. She had an unmatchable sense of humor. Chris was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
