Christopher Earl Ringwald of Lafayette, CO passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the age of 51. Cherished son of Frank & Madonna Ringwald; dear brother of Brian (Donna) Ringwald, Lisa Judd, Melissa (Shaun) Wampler & Angie (Josh) Ringwald Williams; treasured father of Jackson & Noel Ringwald; dear uncle of Nick, Brad, Miranda, Zach, Adalyn, Ruby & Athena; cherished nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Chris attended Duchesne High School; Truman State University, BA Economics; Berufsakademie Mannheim (Exchange for Young Professionals); University of Kiel (Germany); and St. Louis University, Master’s in International Business. Chris' career was focused in Supply Chain, leading continuous improvement in logistics operations, global trade, planning, materials management, program management and strategic sourcing. He did extensive work in the life sciences sector, including medical devices and pharmaceuticals. His most recent employer was Deloitte and he held other positions over the years as Director of Global Logistics & Trade Compliance for ICU Medical; Director of Global Transportation and Trade Operations PMO for Medtronic; Program Director for Covidien, as well as other positions at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals/Tyco Healthcare, Merck Group and Direct Container Line.
Chris loved to learn and encouraged everyone to grow, both professionally and personally. He was a mentor to many and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Colorado Boulder (2014-2017), touching countless people that wanted the best for themselves. He was passionate about nature and enjoyed skiing, hiking, golfing, the beach and time with family and friends. He was always looking for an adventure and enjoyed live music, art, museums, architecture, traveling and trying food from around the globe. Chris inspired others to step outside the box and enjoy life. He will be dearly missed.
