Cheryl Greunke

Cheryl Lynn Greunke (nee: Rauch) of Saint Charles, MO, passed from this life on Monday October 16, 2017, at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of 44 years to Alvin “Al” Greunke; she was born in McCook, Nebraska April 26, 1947, the cherished daughter of the late Grant Rauch and Arlene Rauch; dear stepdaughter of Carolyn Rauch; devoted mother of Kelly (Patrick Girten) Greunke and Christy (Harvey) Dunbar, loving grandmother of Taylor Lynn Dunbar; dear sister of Debbie Rauch, Steve Rauch, and Mike Rauch.

Cheryl graduated from McCook High school in 1965, she married Al in 1973 and they moved to St. Charles in 1991. Cheryl worked with her husband at the Greunke Insurance Agency from 1992 to 2012 as a customer service representative. After Al retired, she went on to work for Heartland Insurance Agency. Cheryl was a woman of tremendous inner strength and was a natural peacemaker and caretaker. Cheryl loved her dogs and enjoyed spoiling them, and she spoiled her friends and family with her wonderful cooking. She enjoyed reading, especially mysteries and other fiction, and crocheting. She loved collecting antiques, being creative, and she excelled at crafts. Cheryl was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the favorite charity of the donor in Cheryl’s memory.
