Charles T. “Charlie” Morton

Morton, Charles T. “Charlie”, of Lake St. Louis, MO, died on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at the age of 74. Loving husband of 52 years to Jean Morton (Nee: Douglas); beloved son of the late Charles F. and Elsie Morton; devoted father of Bob (Janice) Morton and Cindy Clayton; cherished grandfather of Ashley Morton, Scott Clayton Jr., and Charlie Morton; dear brother of Patsie (the late Bob) Range, JoAnn Morton, Mary Lee (the late John) Jansen, Jack (Emma) Morton, Nancy (Tony) Benkowich, Kathy (Mike) Lesniak, Tillie Hurley, David Morton, and Babsie (Steve) Farrow; dear brother-in-law of Ina (Gene) Hughes, Jim (Pat) Douglas, Tim (Teri) Douglas, Bill (Karen) Douglas, and Tom (Christine) Douglas; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Francis “Bud” and Ina “Sis” Douglas.

Charlie was a devout Catholic and 3^rd degree member of The Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed activities with the Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of the Eagles, golfing, boating, and traveling. Charlie was a 50 year member with the Iron Workers Union Local 396, holding various positions, he excelled at everything he did. Mostly, he loved being with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
