Charles “Eddie” Rodgers

September 6, 1946 — February 17, 2019

Charles Eddie Rodgers of Saint Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 72 on Sunday, February 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rodgers; and his brothers, Kenneth and David Rodgers.

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Rodgers; his mother, Anne Rodgers; his children, Kenneth (Susan) Dugger, James (Shari) Dugger, Jennifer (Michael Bortol) Watson, Tod (Vicki) Rodgers, and Sara (Chris) Donaldson; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his siblings, Mike (Christine) Rodgers, Cyndi (Gary) Wahle, Robin (Mike) Welker, Mark (Becky) Rodgers, and JillAnne (Bruce) Cornevin.

Eddie was a plankowner of the USS Cleveland, making him a member of the crew at the time the ship was originally placed in commission. He loved to travel and play golf in the time he had after retiring from the US Navy. He dedicated his time and talents to improving the lives of our nation’s veterans as a member of VFW Post 6516 and through serving as the National Field Director for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Above all else, Eddie was a man who loved his family and he shall be dearly missed.
