Bertin Dale White, 90, beloved husband, father, and friend was born on March 1, 1927. Bert passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Bert married Louise Esther Brown on May 24, 1953 in Linn County Missouri. He is survived by his wife Louise, four children and their spouses, Kathey (Rick) Round of Garland Texas; Valetta Jane (Jeff) Barton of St. Clair Missouri; Robert (Tammy) White of St. Peters Missouri; John (the late Karen) White of St. Peters Missouri. Proud grandfather of Sara, Aaron, Becky, James, Heather, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jason, James and great-grandfather of Kylee, Derrik, Garrett, Jameson and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Charles Arthur (Joann) White, Jr., Delores (the late Michael) Economy. Close family friend Robin Lancaster. Bert is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Valetta M. White, brother Norvell White, sister Billie Jo, and granddaughters, Joanne Round and Joy Curtis. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Bert joined the Army Air Corps in 1946 and was Honorably Discharged in 1949 and joined the Air National Guard. He graduated with a Master’s Degree from Northeast Missouri Teachers College (Truman University) in 1953. He taught in the Wentzville and Francis Howell School District as well as being Principle in Princeton, MO. He was a member of the American Legion Post #388, Reserved Officers Association, Retired Teachers Association and Military Officers Association of America.
Bert was an active in the O’Fallon Senior Center. He was a Charter member of Harvester Baptist Church and a current member of First Baptist Church, O’Fallon, MO. When he was younger he was an avid bowler and hunter, and he continued to enjoy fishing until his death.
