Bernice Ross, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Louis “Jack” E. Ross; beloved daughter of the late Arthur T. and Gracie Watson; devoted mother of Jack (Debbie) Morrison, Susan (Bob) Williams, Kathy (Stan) Bohle, Dennis (Judy) Morrison, Mary Alderman, the late Wayne Morrison, and the late David Morrison; mother-in-law of Delores Morrison; cherished grandmother of Barbara, Kimberly, Erica, Michelle (Nick), Rob (Dawn), Dana (Patrick), Victoria (Darren), Christine, Bryan, Annika, Charles, Matthew, Rachel, David (Elizabeth), Steven, and the late Jeffrey; treasured great-grandmother of many loving grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her first husband, Lenord Rush Morrison, and her siblings, Nora (Onnie) Runnells, John (Frieda) Watson, Jack Watson, Howard (Dorothy) Watson, Lucille (Jim) Jordan, Mary (John) Lacey, Claudine (Jim) Blevins, J.L. Watson, Shirley (Paul) Barton, and Burl (Maxine) Watson.
Bernice loved gardening and picking flowers from around the area to use in her arrangements. She enjoyed crafting with silk flowers as well. She was also a thrifty seamstress and liked sewing. She was an amazing cook and was known for her fried chicken and chicken & dumplings, and she made a mean biscuit! She could also be counted on for a lasagna being handy in her freezer.
Bernice was a great woman of faith, and she was very involved in her church. She truly cherished her family and loved spending time with them. And, she loved her miniature pincher, Crickett, who was always by her side.
Bernice was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bernice's name to
Alzheimer's Association.
