Bernard A. Koch, Jr.

Bernard A. Koch, Jr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 88 on Monday, May 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard A. Koch, Sr. and Dora C. Koch (nee Saale), and his sister Catherine (the late Charles) Podhorsky.

Bernard is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-seven years, Barbara J. Koch (nee O’Grady); his children, Daniel (Sharilyn), Michael (Meiling), Gerard (Yvonne), and Mary Beth (Howard) Faith; his sisters, Bernadine (the late Theodore) Boerding, Nettie (the late Glennon) Dwiggins; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Bernard served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army. He then went on to work at General Motors for 30 years. Gardening was his favorite pastime. Bernard was a life-long member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and will always be remembered by his family as a wonderful role model and as a man who loved his wife Barbara very dearly.

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
