Barbara Jane Hutchings, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 92. Cherished daughter of the late Harry Lee and Barbara Marie Hutchings; loving sister of the late Harry Lee Hutchings, John Joseph Hutchings, and Betty Jean Piel; dear aunt of James (Brenda) Piel, Betty Ann (Bob) McNew and the late Steven Piel; treasured great-aunt of Victoria (Mark) Lorraine, Jaclyn (Frank) Pettis, Rebeca (Joe) McNutty, James "Robbie" Piel, III, Stephen (Regina) Westhoff, and Anthony (Johnathan) Westhoff; great-great aunt of eight.
Barbara loved to travel all over the United States with her parents, and to Europe with her sister and brother-in-law and going on cruises with her niece and nephew. She was fondly known as “Aunt Bob”. She enjoyed reading and could be found with her nose in a book, especially biographies and history related books. Her niece and nephew recall sitting and reading with “Aunt Bob” when they were young. Her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed spending time with them. Barbara was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Barbara 's name to American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Baue Funeral Homes does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facilities. Social distancing is required, and guests should stay at least 6 feet apart. Thank you for your understanding.
