Barbara Haseltine Telker, age 84, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on October 30, 2019, surrounded by family.  She was born on February 5, 1935 in Buckhorn, MO;

Loving wife of the late Paul R. Telker; beloved daughter of the late Loyd and Eula (nee Yount) Ward; devoted mother of Robert Loyd (Mary) Telker, Roger Keith (Christa) Telker, and Renee Elizabeth (the late Dan) Wulf; cherished grandmother of Daren Telker, Lauren (Larry) Pfeffer, Cameron Telker, Clayton Wulf, Brendan Telker, Nick Wulf, Josh Telker, Katie Telker, and Garrett Telker; treasured great-grandmother of Evelyn.  Preceded in death by son, Ryan Paul Telker.

Beloved sister of Shirley (Bill) Hollida, and aunt to Martha Hollida Garrett and Hunter Hollida.

She married the love of her life, Paul Telker on August 12, 1956.  Together they had three boys and one girl.

Barbara attended Greenville Highschool, was an excellent student and athlete, and worked in the family business.  Barbara attended Southeast Missouri State College, where she met Paul.  She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.  After marriage, they studied at Arkansas State University, and University of Missouri-Columbia, where she received a Bachelors degree in Education.  Barbara served in various teaching positions while raising the children.  She was later certified as a Librarian and worked several years at St Thomas Aquinas and West and North County Technical high schools.

She retired with Paul at the age of 63, and moved to Lake Ozark, Missouri.  She always enjoyed spending time at the lake community and owned property there for 40 years.

Barbara and Paul loved to host parties, and she was an outstanding cook.  Barbara was quick to share her talents and no task was too great for family and friends.  An avid reader, excellent seamstress, typist, artist, gardener, skilled in both home décor and home repair.  A wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch.  She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to the American Cancer Society.
