Alvin “Al” Joseph Lamzik

Alvin “Al” Joseph Lamzik, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 85. Loving husband of the late Anita Louise Lamzik; beloved son of the late Maximillian Lamzik and Marie Lamzik Sweney; devoted father of Kenneth (Jean) Lamzik, Deborah (Bryan) Barklage, Stephen (Deb) Lamzik, Christopher (Becky) Lamzik, Matthew Lamzik, and Michelle (Kevin) Gebhardt; cherished grandfather of sixteen; treasured great-grandfather of seven; dear brother of Edgar Lamzik; brother-in-law of Ethyl Lamzik; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Al is also preceded in death by his beloved son, Doug Lamzik; brothers, Richard Lamzik and Kenneth Lamzik.

Al proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 313. Al enjoyed spending time outside golfing and fishing as well as traveling. He liked playing card games, especially pinochle and poker. Al had a good sense of humor and was a very outgoing man. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
