Adam Gordon Strunk of St. Peters, MO, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, at the age of 17, following a tragic accident. Adam was born July 2, 2000, the cherished son of Gordon Joseph Strunk of St. Peters and Bonnie Gornicz of O’Fallon, MO; precious grandson of Gordon G. Strunk and the late Dr. Iris Grabanski Strunk, and Walter Boyd and the late Mary Ellen Boyd; and great-grandson of the late Dorothy Grabanski; beloved brother of Denver Anthony Sullens (and Frost), Jessica and Kelly Walker, Colin Gornicz, and the late Terra Grace Strunk; treasured uncle of Kailey and Kiera Walker; and dear nephew of Ann and Jeff Hoover, Theresa Strunk, Jerry Dunlap, Regina and Charles Kimbrel, Rita and Paul Rutledge, Colleen and John Stelzer, Walter Boyd and Donald Boyd. His memory will be cherished by 16 cousins: Rhianna, Sara and Shauna Hoover; Kelly, Janice and Samantha Dunlap; Danielle and Michelle Kimbrel; Tyler and Troy Rutledge; Felisha Davis and Nicole Stelzer, Megan and Garrett Boyd; Donald and Tyler Boyd.
Adam had a strong energy and a naturally giving spirit. He had an innate ability to sense the needs of the people around him, and he gravitated toward the friends and family members who needed him most. Adam was incredibly loving; and at a very young age told his father that all he wanted to do in life was help people. Adam enjoyed skateboarding, photography, cooking and playing guitar. He attended All Saints Catholic Church with his father and paternal grandfather. He was about to start his junior year of high school, Francis Howell North. Just like his dad, Adam was a person who quickly became a friend to all he met. He leaves numerous friends of all ages who are saddened to have lost him way too soon. He will be immensely and deeply missed.
Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
