Baue Care & Cremation Center
4175 Shady Springs Lane
St. Peters, MO 63376

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017 Baue Funeral Homes of St. Charles County will hold an open house for their 4th location.

Located at 4175 Shady Springs Lane, in St. Peters, the Baue Funeral Home Care & Cremation Center is the first facility of its kind in the St. Louis Region. It’s a unique resource for the surrounding community, providing care for the deceased in a new way, utilizing state of the art technology and equipment, with a focus on safe, professional, dignified care of the deceased. Responsive to shifts in the way people want to honor their loved ones, this Center is a place that meets the needs of today’s families.

The Baue family has always responded to the needs of the families they serve. “We believe families place their trust in us for the care of their loved one, and we do not take that lightly. The deceased body is very sacred to a family and it represents someone’s life that should be treated with dignity and respect. It is precious to the family members left behind and we believe in caring for their loved ones as if it was one of our own family members” states John Baue Devaney, Vice President of Baue.

Today, more and more families are viewing death in a new light. 3rd Generation President and CEO Lisa Baue states she and her staff are “seeing more requests from families who want to spend more time with their loved ones after the death. They are asking us if they may participate in some way in the final care of their loved one. Whether it is to help with dressing, cosmetics, or hair styling, we believe it is important to assist families with their need to be present. This is now possible at our new Care & Cremation Center.”

The Care & Cremation Center will allow for intimate gatherings for up to 40 people. What’s really special, though, is that family members can be involved in the process to whatever extent they choose. There’s space to allow private family time with the deceased, specialized care of the deceased for burial and cremation, and opportunities for participatory care.  The state of the art crematory is unique in that it provides a witnessing room, for those who want to be involved all the way up to the start of the cremation.

“Care of the deceased is always our utmost priority; they never leave our care from the moment we are first contacted and their family may also choose to participate in caring for their loved one during the cremation process as well as preparation for the burial. We want families to participate to the level they feel comfortable. We offer a room for families to dress and help prepare their deceased loved one. Our professional and compassionate staff will be there by their side to help them every step of the way” states Colby Hitchcock, Director of Operations.

The Open House will be held from 4:30pm – 7:00pm and will include tours of the gathering and viewing rooms, state of the art crematory, and Professional Care Center. Refreshments will also be served.
