F-15 Eagle Flyover at local Veterans Memorial Program on Sunday, May 27th
St. Charles, MO – May 22, 2018 – As part of their commitment to the community and in honor of all veterans, Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery is hosting their 58th annual Veterans Memorial Program on Sunday, May 27th at the St. Charles Memorial Gardens located at 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles.
The event is open to the public and has many new items focused on families, fun and education. New this year is a family picnic 12:30-1:30 pm, all food is provided! Family picnic includes face painting, coloring and bubble machines.
Military vehicles will be on display from the Military Vehicle Preservation Association during the event, allowing the public to view these amazing restored vehicles and learn about their history.
Veterans will be on hand to share stories as thousands of American flags will be flown in tribute to our service men and women. Every participant receives a free handheld flag for attending. Biscuits ‘n Gravy will perform live, new for this year’s event.
Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery is honored to sponsor a flyover of an F-15 Eagle Aircraft at 2:00pm (pending operational ability) in tribute to the beginning of the Memorial Services for family members of deceased military men and women. All are invited to participate in a Poppy Ceremony, when we read the names of those lost and ring a bell to symbolize our deepest gratitude for their service.
Other highlights include an honored guest speaker, participation of local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the National Anthem by the Mount Hope Harmonizers, and musical accompaniments from the Afterhours Community Band, buglers, and a bagpiper.
