On Sunday, May 1st several gathered at the Wentzville Heartland Park for Bereaved Mother’s Day. Angel Moms Over St. Louis held abeautiful ceremony to honor the lives of children who have died while also honoring their strong, courageous mothers. During the event, all of the mothers came together in a circle and created a sacred bond as they stood tall and paid tribute to their children. While each mother said their child’s name aloud, there was a creation of connectivity and support keeping the circle intact.
As the ceremony concluded, Kelly Karavousanos, LPC, CT from the Center for Hope & Healing held a butterfly and balloon release to represent the transformations each of us encounter as we journey through life.
After the ceremony, Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery held a complimentary BBQ lunch for everyone in attendance. Photos from the event are below.
