Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks.
“Home Instead has created a thoughtful and thorough Alzheimer’s Friendly Business℠ program to train businesses in their communities on how to best work with those who have Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia,” said Chairman and Founder of USAgainstAlzheimer’s.
Research conducted by Home Instead, Inc., franchisor of the Home Instead Senior Care network, points to isolation as a risk factor for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their family caregivers.
