Steven Scott Roberts, 51, of O’Fallon, MO passed away at 4:57 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016.
Steve was born June 28, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Paul Richard Roberts Jr. and Carole Ferguson Roberts of O’Fallon, MO.
On June 22, 1996, Steve was united in marriage to his adored wife Amy Schneider. To this union two children were born and he became the Devoted and proud father to Charles and Rosemary Roberts.
Steve was also a loving brother to Donna and Grant Schraer of St. Charles, Paul and Barb (Green) Roberts of St. Charles and Patrick and Regina Roberts of O’Fallon, Missouri. Fun-Loving Brother in law to; Mike and Pat Schneider of Jacksonville, IL, Anne and Stephen Penrose of St. Louis, MO, Pat and Steve Owens of Liberty, IL, Loretta and Tom Goehl, Sue Kelley, Kathi and Roger Rosenkoetter, Barb and Dion Geiser, Mary Jo and Tim Terwelp, and Julie Flynn, all of Quincy, IL. Respected son-in-law of Norman J. Ward of Quincy, IL. Faith-filled Godfather of Nickie, Sarah, and Gary Gerhardt of St. Louis, MO, Brooke Meadows of St. Peters, MO, Elle Roberts of O’Fallon, MO, and Samantha Schneider of Girard, IL. Loving Godson of Aunt Helen Hohmann of Flower Mound, TX, and Favorite Uncle of most of his 26 nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews. Steve was also a treasured friend to many.
Steve was preceded in death by his Father, his Godfather, Uncle Donald Hohmann, his mother-in-law Betty Schneider Ward, and brother-in-law Jay Kelley.
Steve was employed by Proctor and Gamble for the past 12 years most recently as a team lead technician. He was previously employed for 21 years by BeltService Corporation in Earth City.
Steve was a member of the O’Fallon Elks Lodge and Assumption Catholic Church.
Steve was waiting for an organ transplant to save his life, although he himself did not receive this he was able to in return donate some of his organs and give the gift of life to someone else. Please consider becoming an Organ Donor in Steve’s memory.
