Edwards, Ronald W., of Saint Peters, MO, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of 36 years to Theresa A. Edwards; cherished son of Talmadge L. and Verna V. Edwards; devoted father of Anthony Lee Edwards of St. Charles, MO, William and Ashley Edwards of Lincoln, NE, and Carilena K. Edwards of St. Peters, MO; treasured grandfather of Mackenzie, Taylor, Cameron, and Willie; loving brother of Cindy Lou Edwards of Norfolk, VA; and dear brother-in-law of Wayne Judge of St. Louis, MO, Mary (Michael) Mohr of Dayton, OH, Dean (Lisa) Judge of Sumter, SC, Denise (Mike) Durham of Little Rock, AR, Wendy Douglas of Campbell, OH, and James (Lisa) Judge of Ahoskie, NC. Ron is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 21 years. After retiring from the Air Force in 1993, he began working for the US Postal Service, where he worked as a Maintenance Engineer Specialist for over 20 years. Ron was a former member of the VFW in Bellevue, Nebraska and of the Boy Scouts of America in Portsmouth, VA. He was a Life Scout and was honored by the Order of the Arrow. Ron was an avid bowler and lover of old country and bluegrass music. He especially enjoyed playing his guitar. Ron also loved the great outdoors where he could often be found camping and fishing. He was a great man and a giving man who would do anything and everything for his family and friends. The most important things in life, according to Ron, were God, his family, and his country. He was dearly loved and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
