Murphey, Paul R., of O’Fallon, MO, died on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the age of 71. Loving husband of the late Maureen Murphey; beloved son of the late John "Jack" and Alma Murphey; devoted father of Tara (Jason) Wilson, Erin (Andrew) Richmond, and Courtney Murphey; cherished grandfather of Marley Wilson; and dear brother of Leon (Mary Ann) Murphey, Lloyd (Mary Ellen) Murphey, Ann (John) Murphey, and Mary (the late Carl) Wirtle. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Paul graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University Missouri St. Louis, and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and the Ancient order of Hibernians. Paul enjoyed golfing and traveling, but mostly he loved spending time and making memories with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis or to the wishes of the family.
