James V. “Jim” Bell

Bell, James V. “Jim”, of St. Peters, MO, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at the age of 85. Loving husband of Joanne Bell; beloved son of the late Hugh V. and Bessie Bell (neé: Meade); devoted father of Matthew Bell and Theresa (John) Yakich; cherished grandfather of Nathaniel Bell, Gabriel Bell, Brayden Yakich, and Noah Yakich; and survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. He is preceded in death by his siblings Lawrence Bell, Robert “Bob” Bell, Margaret Kelly, Helen Harris, and Ruth Votruba.




Jim and Joanne were married for 44 years. He loved golf, checkers, and cards, and was an avid and passionately opinionated St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jim was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He worked for Sears and Roebuck for 45 years and graduated from McBride High School. Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
