Howard D. Hofstetter

June 25, 1940 — May 9, 2016

Hofstetter, Howard Dean, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at the age of 75. Loving husband of 55 years to Barbara Pardoe Hofstetter; beloved son of the late Waldo and Helen Hofstetter; devoted father of Kevin (Valorie) Hofstetter and Kent (Darlene) Hofstetter; cherished grandfather of Sydney Hofstetter, Trinity Hofstetter, and Grayson Hofstetter; dear brother of Roselle (Jack) Butterfield and Charlene (Lawrence) Cook; dear brother-in-law of Janie (Kenny) Howard, Carol (Ken) Wolf, and Dean Pardoe; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his brother David Lee Hofstetter.

Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 8 years, he then went to work for the furniture industry in the logistics and management department. Howard was a past member and president of Traffic Club in St. Louis, currently he was a member of St. Johns UCC at Weldon Springs. He enjoyed golfing and bowling with family and friends, and of course cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Howard was loved and respected by all.

Today this world lost one of the greatest, friendliest, and most genuine men that ever lived. Howard Hofstetter had an infectious smile and laugh, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
