Helen M. Schulte

Helen M. Schulte (nee: Mitchell) of St. Charles, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of seventy years to the late George A. Schulte; cherished daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances Mitchell; devoted mother of Louis (Sharon) Schulte, Thomas (Linda) Schulte, and the late James Schulte; loving grandmother of ten; treasured great-grandmother of seven. Helen was also preceded in death by her siblings, Rose Frederick, Lawrence Mitchell, James Mitchell, and Frank Mitchell.
Helen was a 'Rosie the Riveter' who manufactured torpedoes during World War II. She also worked as a telephone operator for the St. Louis Globe Democrat for nearly twenty years. Helen loved to crochet, read, and travel with her husband. She most of all loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Mount Carmel Senior Living and Heartland Hospice Care.
