Betty June Schmidt

Schmidt, Betty June, of St. Charles, MO, died on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the age of 80. Loving wife of the late Melvin Schmidt; beloved daughter of the late Base and Lena Womble; devoted mother of Floyd (Vicky) McDonnell, Christine Thomas, and Rhonda Whitehead; cherished grandmother of Floyd (Caryn) McDonnell, Robert (April) Kedro, Sara (Jason) Boldt, and John Whitehead, Jr.; treasured great-grandmother of 7; and dear sister of Brenda (Dan) Westbrook, Pamela Layman, Patsy Sandlin, and Susan Hall; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Bill Womble, Ronald Womble, Joy Watkins, and Dennis Womble; and her sons-in-law, Bill Thomas and John Whitehead.

Betty enjoyed quilting, painting, embroidery, reading, woodworking and crafts, but mostly she loved being with her family and friends. She will be missed.
